    Description

    This is an original VietNam prisioner of war wrist bracelet for Capt John Nasmyth, Air Force.
    He was shot down Sept 4, 1966 and held until Feb 18, 1973.
    He was awarded the Silver Star, and later wrote a book "2355 Days, A POW's Story"
    I wore this from from 1967 when I first heard about the braclet program until I heard of his release in 1973,  even in my wedding and through the birth of my child.  Originally the lettering was black but that wore off very quickly.
    I feel that this should be in a better place than my jewerly box.
