Hey guys, as with any of my electronics sales this is being offered with No Warranty.  No Returns.  No Refunds.
I just recently did a light sanding of the original Walnut veneer with 240 grit sand paper.  Then oiled the wood with Howards Restore a Finish Walnut.  Then waxed after the oil had dried over night.  Using Howards Feed and Wax Wood Polish and conditioner to the cabinets.
The black painted areas are original paint.
The grilles are original with wear / defects / usage / age.  Snags to fabric as well as discoloration.  One grille has a missing post on the rear.  So instead of having four post to push into the speaker cabinet one grille only has three.
The Woofer surrounds were replaced using Simply Speakers woofer surrounds.
New capacitors in the crossover network to replace the out of spec original caps.
Original paint, original veneer.
Original speaker grilles that show age / wear / use as well as snags.
Speaker grilles do have the JBL emblems with one of the four tabs missing on the back of a single grille.
One woofer shows light staining on the white area.  No method was used to remove the light discoloration.
One of the four twist connectors on the rear is cracked.
One tweeter shows loss of paint, look closely at the photos to see the full visual condition.
Previously owned by a guy that claimed to have had these since the 1980's when he was in high school.
The sound is incredible!
It doesn't seem like the L 56 loudspeaker comes to market very often.  Of the others I have seen they all seem to need woofer repair.  Or the cabinets looks like someone left candles or solo cups on top with condensation ruining the color of the veneer.
This set of speakers doesn't have any of those problems.  They are ready to ROCK!
