David Wiener Ventures Soundtube ST-9 Floor Speakers 1st Model Ever Very Rare

I could find absolutely nothing about these speakers anywhere. As a last resort, I reached out to David Wiener Ventures and when David received the message I found a pair of Soundtube ST-9 speakers he spoke with me himself! David was so gracious with his time and explained these were the very first speakers he ever created. He has a pair in his office in Park City, Utah. David Wiener is a modern renaissance man, an embodiment of the American Dream. The list of companies and organizations he advises includes Ferrari, Popular Science, Indy One, US Navy, Formula Car, and many others. He studied engineering, aerodynamics, and art in college, and is an accomplished musician as well. After graduation he worked for Paul MacReady, whom Time Magazine named Engineer of the Century. Eventually David started David Wiener Ventures as his visionary, eclectic, pioneering approach to development and design could only be realized without the constraints of answering to others. At twenty years old he designed the vehicle that broke the World Land Speed record. He began Soundtube Entertainment in the mid 1980's as his experimentation with tubular speakers has led to David holding over a dozen patents. His conceptual vision was to fill the largest area possible with sound using the smallest speaker. These particular speakers were sold to Dave Thomas and the Wendys Corporation, shipped to their headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. These are all original and in magnificent condition with the original socks over the tubes. The sound produced is amazing, a cross between an Ohm Walsh and ESS Heil PS. They are 42" high. I included a picture of David delivering a custom pair of Soundtubes to Ferrari in a convertible Eldorado over forty years ago. Soundtube became the international benchmark for high fidelity commercial speaker technology, and in 2004 David sold Soundtube to MSE Audio, a comglomerate of high end audio suppliers. I am also including a picture of David present day posing with a David Wiener Collection speaker. These ST-9 speakers are virtually a prototype speaker, so rare there is no information available about them other than what I learned from David Wiener himself. These are very rare, collectible speakers in outstanding condition.
