sweetheart is this,
"JOY",
composition and wood ,large size, segmented doll by
Cameo Doll Co., circa
1932
.
Measuring
14" tall,
from the top of her molded, curly head with
molded loop for hair ribbon
to the tip of her precious, blue painted, wooden shoes. She has large, blue painted, side-glancing eyes, cute pug nose, watermelon-shaped, smiling (Kewpie-style) mouth, molded and painted, curly hair (also Kewpie-style) and excellent coloring and blush. Manufactured by the Cameo Doll Co.,
circa 1932,
she makes a
great companion
to
Cameo's line of vintage Kewpie and Scootles dolls
.  Her composition and paint finish are all original and very good with some expected paint wear and light crazing
.
All her many joints work smoothly making her ideal for posing although she
needs a stand or the stringing tightened.
She's undressed to show off that adorable, pudgy body and also her full, red, black and gold
chest label
which reads:
JOY/Des. & Copy't. J.L. Kallus.
She has
joints at her hips, knees, ankles, shoulders and elbows as well as a swivel neck
. She has no damages, no repainting or repairs and is in good overall condition. with some light paint craze lines and a paint chip on the seam in her hair. Other Cameo dolls and toy items shown are
